Duty and Rest Period Rules for Railway Operating Employees

Important dates to come:

Part A comes into effect on May 25, 2023 for freight railway companies and on November 25, 2024 for passenger railway companies.

Part B, with the exception of section 5, comes into effect on May 25, 2023 for freight railway companies and on November 25, 2024 for passenger railway companies.

Section 5 of Part B comes into effect on November 25, 2022.

Part C comes into effect on May 25, 2023 for freight railway companies and on November 25, 2024 for passenger railway companies.

Part D comes into effect on November 25, 2021.
