  • HSC meetings on schedule.  ON SCHEDULE
  • Safety Footboards on schedule.  ON SCHEDULE
  • SOFA, ORCA’S and property Audits.  ORCA  ON SCHEDULE
  • Safety blitzes as needed.  ON SCHEDULE
  • Safety framework 2007 and local H&S Plan will be reviewed monthly.

Item 1a: Local Health & Safety Plan – Monthly Tracking (updates and action required)

 

 

Promote recognition of safe work performance through safe work incentives, congratulations to following employees for having their names drawn for working safely; Ken MacDonald and Peter Fernyhough in Mactier, Rob Sonier for Toronto North and Mark Edwards and Fred Pollock in Sudbury. 

 

1)      Improved tracking of safety hazard reports and corrective action.

2)      Improve the Property Audit resolve process using the Time and Action Calendar and A/B/C of importance process.  Manager’s to hand out Red, Yellow or Green Card.

070109            Honda Compound – insufficient handbrakes, blitzed by H&S Reps at Honda during footboards,                              and were advised blue flags on order.  Bob Barker with PGM indicates new blue flags to be                                  received and installed by end of April 2007.  C.Rasmussen/W,Arnem to advise status by                                      070430. RESOLVED  .

            Sound Sub Contractors showing up with lack of safety supplies. Taxi in particular #6 Parry Sound Cab.

  • Target for Douglas ST Xing on Sault Branch requires large target.  ACTION: Mike Coderre & Cathy Moher.
  • Sand Boxes for Mactier and Sudbury will be ordered by September, 2007.
