TCRC files CIRB complaint against CN

Brothers & Sisters,

Attached is a copy of the Complaint that will be filed this afternoon against CN Rail regarding the hiring of employees (retirees and others in similar situations) within the UTU bargaining unit at different rates of pay and on terms and conditions of employment not provided for in the Collective Agreement thereby undermining our Application for Certification. This has also resulted in grievances filed by the TCRC as these individuals have, on occasion, been utilized to operate locomotives.

The company’s plan of operation is designed to cause dissention and division amongst the members whose terms and conditions are governed by the Collective Agreement and is a violation of the Code. Please circulate this information to our members so that they are aware of our course of action.
