passed a Red Absolute signal at
MP 183.25 striking the rear of a
stopped Westbound Z train at MP
183.34 on Main1, Emporia
Subdivision, Augusta Kansas.
Train speed at time of impact is
estimated to be greater than
50-mph. The subsequent
derailment then struck line 04
of a passing eastbound Z train
on Main 2, placing it into
emergency.
